What we are trying to achieve

From toothbrushes to books, films to restaurants, opinions are everywhere. But when it comes to property — one of life’s biggest and most expensive decisions — there’s almost nothing. The best property decisions are built on knowledge, not polished sales copy and carefully chosen photos.

Trust

Who do you trust?

Your main point of contact is usually the estate agent. But when was the last time a listing mentioned the leaky roof, parking war or the late-night noise?

With Propinions, you’ll hear from the people who’ve actually lived there, know the neighbourhood or viewed it — the details that really matter when choosing a home.

Transparency

No more hush hush

Ever seen a property you liked get listed and snapped up… only for the deal to fall through? Ever wished you could know what all the other viewers thought during their viewings?

These things don’t always need to be a secret. Propinions gives you a platform to share your opinion and help others form theirs.

Context

It's more than the house

A property is about more than the building itself. An online property listing only paints half the picture.

What about the area, community, schools, parking, dog walking and everything else that shapes what life there's really like. Propinions welcomes all that.

Perspective

Opinons are subjective

The beauty of an opinion is that it's subjective. What one person likes, another might not. Some people see opportunity where others see a problem — like a local roofer spotting his dream house, even if the surveys keep flagging its 1930s roof.

Propinions moderates all opinions to ensure they meet our terms.

Welcome to Propinions

I have just launched Propinions here in Macclesfield, and it is still early so things may look a little quiet.

You can explore the opinions so far or add your own to help it grow.

If you would like to understand more about Propinions and me, you can find out more. Feedback, ideas, and comments are always welcome at hello@propinions.co.uk.

Thanks for taking the time to check out Propinions.
